How do Electric Diaphragm Pumps work?

Electric diaphragm pumps are a type of positive displacement pump that use reciprocating diaphragms which are powered by an electric motor, as opposed to compressed air in air operated diaphragm pumps. The electric motor moves a mechanism that causes the diaphragm to oscillate back and forth. This ultimately creates a vacuum to draw fluid in, and then consistently push it out. The electric motor ensures that the pump has precise flow rate control, perfect for applications that need accurate dosing.
