For all types of macerated slurry, digestate, hot liquor and bio etahnol, the Verder team can offer slurry and sludge handling solutions for anaerobic digestion facilities.

Processes

Transfer of macerated food and organic material at the beginning of the process
Transfer of hot organic material into flotation settlement vessels
Dosing of additives and/or enzyme solutions
Pumping liquor from the flotation settlement vessel to the digester
Circulation and churning of slurry within the digester tank
Scavenger pumps
Transfer of digested slurry in to centrifuges
Transfer of bio ethanol

Our slurry handling solutions are made possible by our pump technologies, namely the Verderhus screw-channel pump and the Verderflex peristaltic pumps. These pump types are ideal for highly viscous, solid-laden slurry and sludge containing grit, abrasive particles and even large diameter pieces up to 160mm.

Both of these pump types have been incorporated into AD facilities as standalone pumps and in bespoke turnkey systems built at the Verder Service Centre.

Verder can provide advice on pipe work runs to optimize the transfer of the slurry and how to minimize blockages or clogging with the correct pump and rodding eyes/Augur pig's tails.

Verderhus and Verderflex pumps have been installed at abattoirs, fish and poultry processing, fishing ports for offloading whole fish and also at vegetable processing factories. Both pumping technologies provide an excellent answer to the demanding fluids in AD facilities.
